Multiscale Functional ImagingFluorescent sensors for calcium, voltage, and neurotransmitters each provide rich proxies for neural activity. We develop microscopy and nanoscopy methods to make correlative measurements of neuronal function with high spatial and temporal resolution.

Correlative Structural ImagingOur goal is to combine in vivo developmental and functional measurements with correlative light-electron measurements from the same animal to pinpoint when, where, and how synapses form.
